PRONUNCIATION OF THE AFFIX -ED IN PAST PARTICIPLES

I was browsing the web looking for an online tool to help my students during this never-ending state of emergency with the pronunciation of the affix -ed and came across this fun -ED PRACTICE on an online tool where you can create your own games. The drawback - it is only available on the App Store for iphone and ipad. Still, worth glancing through it!

This other game will help you to improve your pronunciation of those words ending with the affix -ed which are so complicated for Spanish speakers to get right:
Besides, you can also see their video about How to pronounce the suffix -ed

B2.1 MEDIATION

I have prepared this activity for my B2.1 students to practise written and oral mediation. They are expected to summarize part of an article from Readworks and explain, in their own words, the meaning of five words and phrases in the context in which they appear in the passage.

They will also be able to ask each other some questions about social networks, which I am providing at the bottom of the handout. They will have some extra time to ask their own questions and be encouraged to ask follow-up questions on the their partners' answers. My expectations are for them to be active listeners while participating on a video conference.

LISTENING PRACTICE

LISTEN AND PRACTICE

They claim to be the largest online dictation website. It is certainly a great tool to practise your listening and writing comprehension skills with plenty of audios reflecting a large variety of English accents.
